Iterate: the second answer is usually better

Expert users rarely accept the first answer. They refine it.

Useful follow-ups

  • "Make it shorter and simpler."
  • "Give me a version for a non-technical reader."
  • "What are the weaknesses of this answer?"
  • "Ask me three questions that would help you improve this."
  • "Show this as a table with columns for X, Y and Z."

Ask the AI to check itself

"Review your answer for factual errors and list anything I should verify." This does not guarantee accuracy, but it often highlights weak points.

Start fresh when needed

If a conversation goes off track, open a new chat with a better first prompt instead of correcting it many times.
