Writing a strong CV with AI as your editor
Recruiters and applicant tracking systems (ATS) look for clear, relevant, results-focused CVs. AI can help you write one, but the facts must be yours.
Start with your raw notes
For each internship, project or role, write rough notes: what you did, tools you used, and any results.
Turn notes into impact points
Prompt: "Rewrite these notes as three CV bullet points. Start each with a strong action verb, keep every fact and number exactly as given, and add nothing new."
Match the job
Paste a job description and ask: "Which skills and keywords from this job description are missing from my CV? Do not invent experience." Then add only what is true.
Keep it ATS-friendly
- Simple layout, standard headings (Education, Experience, Projects, Skills)
- No important text inside images
- Save as PDF unless the employer asks for Word
Never let AI add skills, results or experience you do not have.
